Cross Borough Connections for the African Diaspora Community (Monday 23rd Sep 2019 at Hackney CVS

Small African Caribbean led VCS organisations and community leaders are invited to an exchange meeting which brings together frontline voluntary and community organisations and community led networks that share a common purpose raise the prospects and offer practical support to parents and pupils of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage background. The community is diverse in so many ways; level of income, range of languages spoken, denomination, health, and housing to education and family cultural and other influences.

Local networks and family support organisations such as faith sector, fathers groups, supplementary schools and advocates are often called upon to support parents and pupils so we tend to be too busy on the frontline in each borough to connect and cascade common messages across fellow London boroughs.
