A web presence these days is a must, but many small charities can’t afford to employ a web developer. This course aims to change that by showing you how to set up a simple website in just one hour.

This course is for anyone who wants a simple website - administrators, communications staff, frontline staff, etc.

Course aim:

In a group setting we will show you how to use Wordpress.com's free blog features to set up a simple website for your community group.

 In just one hour you can set up a simple site like this one:

 The session will cover:

•                                     How to register your site

•                                     Publish your first post page

•                                     Pick a theme for the site

•                                     Update your title and tagline.

•                                     Customise the way your site works

•                                     Create four pages on the home page menu (Home, About, Services, Contact)


Learning outcomes:

By the end of the course participants will:

·         have knowledge of how to register a simple site

·         the ability to add new web pages

·         skills to customise the look of the site
