Meet the Funders

Registration is closed for this event
We are lucky to be joined by London Community Foundation and Trust for London for an interactive session on their funding priorities and support available for voluntary and community groups.

The London Community Foundation supports community-based organisations focused on helping disadvantaged London. They work across the entire city and specialise in discovering pioneering ideas. LCF is one of the only grassroots funders that does both. They specialise in finding and funding small organisations who are just starting out or who don’t attract mass public support. LCF stands shoulder to shoulder with the groups they support and base their decisions on the merit of ideas and the talents behind them. They have been working in the community for over 20 years, and have a unique window into how complex social problems are being tackled at local level. They are an expert at directing investment into small, under the radar community groups.

Trust for London is an independent charitable foundation. They aim to tackle poverty and inequality in London and do this by: funding voluntary and charity groups – currently they make grants totalling around £8 million a year and at any one time they are supporting up to 300 organisations; funding independent research; and providing knowledge and expertise on London’s social issues to policymakers and journalists. They have seven funding programmes for 2018-2022, details of which can be found in the funding guidelines.

Please note This event is open to Hackney CVS associate member organisations only. Only one place per organisation as spaces are limited.
