This introduction to Youth Mentoring is perfect for volunteer managers, mentoring programme coordinators and those new to mentoring.

The course will develop delegates understanding and knowledge of core concepts and different types of mentoring and how to effectively train volunteers and new staff in the basics of youth mentoring.


Learning Outcomes:                                                                                                                                         

By the end of the session, trainees will have increased their awareness of:

  • Roles and duties within youth mentoring 
  • Ethics and Principles of youth mentoring 
  • Associated research and theories 
  • The importance of setting boundaries
