London Fields Neighbourhood Forum
Our quarterly forum bringing together residents, health practitioners, VCS organisations, and councillors to discuss health priorities and needs of the local area.
Join us for the London Fields Neighbourhood Forum Meeting.
Aims of the meeting:
- Discuss local health priorities and needs.
- Finding out what has been going on in the Neighbourhood.
- Introducing and networking with local organisations.
- Plan for future meetings.
Theme of the meeting:
'Proactive Care' - we will discuss ways to stay healthy and live independently in the community for as long as possible.
- Tim Reynolds, Proactive Care Therapy Lead at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will share information about the services that support proactive care.
- Chantel Antonetti, researcher at Renaisi, will give details about their upcoming event and their bid to understand the barriers local residents face in accessing services to help stay healthy and age well.
'Mental Wellbeing' - we will discuss how to address the common challenges to health especially on how to maintain mental health and wellbeing.
- Sabrina Jantuah, Neighbourhoods Involvement Manager at Healthwatch Hackney, will share data on mental health rates in the Neighbourhood, challenges residents experience when looking for support, and activities and techniques that they have found helpful.
- Claire Ferrigi from Volunteer Centre Hackney (VCH) has been supporting patients in the Neighbourhood to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through creating activities for the community. VCH will outline their current offer and its impact on resident wellbeing.
Chair: Elspeth Williams, Chairperson of SocialEyes4Life, will moderate the discussion and give feedback from a perspective of people with disabilities for better social inclusion in healthcare system.
Everyone is welcome. This Forum will be held in person.
