Basic Risk Assessment in June

Do you want to know how to carry out a risk assessment? Do you have responsibility for managing health & safety? This 3-hour basic risk assessment training could be what you are looking for.

This course is ideal for:

  • People with health and safety responsibilities in voluntary sector organisations
  • Staff and volunteers of community groups
  • Recent arrivals and migrant workers who want to know the basics of risk assessment

The session will cover:

  • How should risk assessments be carried out
  • The hierarchy of control
  • Principles of prevention
  • Manual handling problems and risk assessments
  • Risk management and how to rank risks

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Carry out a risk assessment
  • Identify key responsibilities for making workplaces healthy and safe
  • Take on health and safety responsibilities for a community group
