Unlocking Social Value through Commissioning in Hackney
The aims of the event are:
- To look at national best practice in commissioning and recommendations (from CQC https://www.cqc.org.uk/publications/themed-work/beyond-barriers-how-older-people-move-between-health-care-england) Kings Fund Institute https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/publications/commissioner-perspectives-voluntary-community-social-enterprise-sector
- To consider how we can maximise Social Value and the unlock the reach of non-commissioned sector (in the context of the recent Government announcement to strengthen the Social Value Act https://www.thirdsector.co.uk/minister-promises-extend-scope-social-value-act/policy-and-politics/article/1485898)
- To explore how to best build effective partnerships between providers (HUHT, GP Confederation, ELFT and VCS) to meet whole system outcomes.
- To explore the best commissioning structure for all parties to maximise value and diversity of provision.
- To understand what may be commissioned in the next two years (where known).
