COVID-19 VCS Resilience Strategy event

Registration is closed for this event

We need your help. Since the first lockdown, you have been telling us how COVID has impacted on the communities you represent, the people you support, and the impact on your own organisations. We’ve been listening to everything you have said and now want to share back with you how we think the sector’s resilience can be strengthened, laying the foundations for how the VCS can eventually get back to some sense of normality.

As such we would like to invite you to the COVID-19 VCS Resilience Strategy event on 20 January 2021. It's free of course.

Purpose of the event

  • To feedback what you told us in response to the COVID-19 VCS Recovery and Resilience survey, and the community conversations that took place
  • To explore the suggested solutions and determine which should be taken forward, agreeing the actions necessary to make them a reality
  • To identify which organisations could play a leadership role going forward
  • To uncover any unidentified or new challenges that we haven’t thought of.

This event will build on the conversation which took place on the 18 November and will be an opportunity to share learning about what’s worked and what hasn’t worked so that we can collectively move forward with clarity of purpose and direction informed by your community expertise.

At the event we’ll be hosting five breakout sessions to explore a number of five emerging themes, and a list of suggested solutions provided with a view to determine which should be taken forward, and how.
Please indicate on page 2 which two sessions you want to do: 1. Financial hardship; 2. Complex Needs / Long-term conditions; 3. Parents, guardians, and carers; 4. Cultural impact on ethnically diverse communities; 5. People under the radar.
Please see the attached slide-deck with further information about each of the themes.
