Train the Trainer: Digital Champions

Hackney CVS has partnered with Peter Bedford to offer a 3-week training programme aimed at helping you to become a digital champion.

The course will introduce you to:

• We will introduce/review the five stages of the Teaching Cycle and show participants how to adapt it to suit online training.
• Zoom and Microsoft Teams, so that they can confidently use them to teach online sessions.
• Teaching and assessment methods that can be used online, including Google Classroom and Kahoot.
• Participants will be taught how to lesson plan, and will develop and present a mock lesson plan of their own.
• Two demo mini-teaches in action, including an example lesson on installing and using apps.
• Digital Champions, and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
• The roles and responsibilities of trainers, and highlight characteristics of a good trainer.
• We will look at key legislation and conduct to consider as a trainer, such as GDPR, Safeguarding, Inclusive Learning Environments and Maintaining Professional Boundaries.

Each session will last for 2 hours.
