[Postponed] Hackney CVS 25-year anniversary and community awards evening

Regrettably we have taken the decision to cancel this evening’s 25 year anniversary and awards event at Dalston Curve Garden.

I am sure you will share our disappointment, however given the extreme heat and advice not to travel it does not seem sensible to go ahead. We will reschedule soon and be back in touch with a new date.

The anniversary

Hackney CVS has come a long way since humble beginnings at The Print House 25 years ago, and we would be delighted if you would join us at the beautiful Dalston Curve Garden on the evening of Monday 18 July to mark this milestone anniversary. 

The evening will give us an opportunity to reflect on the work and achievements of Hackney CVS over the years and to celebrate the fantastic work of our many local community groups, charities, and non-profits. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate our public sector partnerships and to thank our generous funders and donors.

The community awards

In addition we will be making our annual awards - the Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement awards and Gary Francis Young Achievement awards.

The Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement Awards are held each year to celebrate outstanding achievements in our sector. Winners receive a glass award and a certificate.

The Gary Francis Awards are held each year to celebrate young Hackney people who have achieved great things against the odds.

Winners receive a certificate and £250 in cash. Click here for more information and the nomination form.

The event will start at 5.30pm and close at 8.30pm. There will be live entertainment and catering will be provided by some of Hackney's Lunch clubs.
