Anti-racist commissioning workshop 1

Registration is closed for this event
In this workshop, we will start developing the commissioning model and hear what matter's to young black people to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Please note this session will be taking place in-person at The Tomlinson Centre, Queensbridge Road, London E8 3ND

We are pleased to announce that the community identified issue that this project will fund is young black people's mental health. We are hoping that organisations working in this area will engage in this work so it has maximum impact.

Here’s an outline of what to expect on the day:

1:30-2pm Welcome, networking and interactive opportunity to tell us which components of the commissioning models you think should be prioritised

2-2:15pm Introduction to the day’s session and a recap on the blue-sky thinking session which took place on 25th October

2:15-3pm: Panel discussion with local youth leaders

3-4:15pm Breakout rooms

  • Review the features of the models generated so far and work them in to a model for discussion
  • Discuss the short, medium and long-term outcomes of anti-racist commissioning for young people

4:15-5pm Refining the commissioning model, including the application process

We’ve uploaded the original notes from discussions at the blue-sky thinking day, in a Google folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GSdl391jkuejcTTUC5hC84ZQqRnvKTOI?usp=drive_link

You’ll also find the slide decks from the previous emails, which outline the anti-racist commissioning principles and the commissioning models that were interrogated at the last session.

If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch.

If you’re a small community organisation or CIC, we’d like to renumerate you for joining us at the workshop. This will be available to one person from each organisation.
