City & Hackney Fundraising Day

Are you an individual, community group or charity based in City and Hackney? Do you have a funding bid or project proposal that you would like a critical friend to case their eye on and provide you with feedback? Well Hackney CVS are piloting a new way of delivering fundraising support and advice for the groups of Hackney and City.

City & Hackney Fundraising Day is a new initiative dedicated to providing fundraising advice, training and guidance. The day will see you get access to fundraising focused training in the morning and dedicated 1:1 sessions in the afternoon. The 1:1 sessions will enable your organisation to have your application or proposal reviewed by our Organisational Development managers (Makbule Gunes and Kemar Walford). 

We will also highlight new funding opportunities and invite guest speakers that specialise in Charity and non-profit Fundraising. 


9:45 – 10:00 – Welcome and networking 

10:00 – 12:30 – Fundraising Awareness and training 

  • Top tips.

  • Identifying opportunities (Trust and Foundations).

  • Engaging corporates. 

  • Developing proposals etc. 

12:30 – 13:15 - Lunch  

13:15 – 16:45 – Dedicated support (1:1 support sessions) 


Who is it for? 

Any City & Hackney resident and non-profit member that has a project, idea, proposal or application that they would like help with. Anyone that is interested in finding out about the world of fundraising in City & Hackney.
