Community Panel Meeting (Shaping Solutions to Domestic Violence) Thu 12th Sep 2019

VCS representatives are invited to attend the first Community Panel Meeting on Thursday 12 September 2019 which will comprise of a diversity of frontline VCS organisations that support; school aged girls, young women and working age women and 50+ to “speak up” about service users need. Your insights will influence policy maker and commissioners.

Hackney Council has recently developed and published the 2019-2022 three year strategy to tackle Violence against Women and Girl (VAWG); a strategy which is coordinated by the Service Manager of the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service (DAIS).

Community representatives play an important role as champions and organisations that are often the first contact for residents in need particularly communities that face multiple disadvantage.

You are invited to attend a meeting to discuss the role of a Community Panel which meets regularly to share resident insights, informs and influences the Domestic Abuse Strategy and relevant partnerships.
