Course Outline 

During the session participants will learn how to:

• Define what is domestic abuse?
• Identify the different types of domestic abuse
• Understand the dynamics of domestic abuse and the intersectionalities
• Recognise and respond to domestic abuse
• Find out more about Hackney Services and the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service
     

Assessing domestic abuse risk

• Gain understanding of what domestic abuse risk indicators are and the dynamic nature of risk 
• Gain an understanding of the difference between static and dynamic risk factors 
• Gain confidence in using the domestic abuse risk indicator checklist
• Gain confidence in assessing risk through effective partnership working
